Football season is finally here, and along with it, fans and experts alike can throw as much shade at each other as possible as they root and rally for their loyal colors. That goes the same for Florida State fans and their rivals as the No. 8 Seminoles gear up for an unprecedented year with lofty expectations and championship aspirations.

"That is so Miami, though." ESPN's Desmond Howard joked on College Gameday about the situation down south.

Miami is in year three with a new offensive coordinator in as many seasons of what seems to be a decade-long rebuild with no clear light at the end of the tunnel.

"Can Miami get it going in the right direction?" Rece Davis said on the segment. "They've got their guy down there, Mario Cristobal, but he's got seven new assistant coaches, new coordinators and if things weren't bad enough at Miami, their billionaire NIL guy, his business is undergoing a federal probe so where does that stand? He's certainly not the only money guy there."

Hurricane fans would like to forget when they faced the 'Noles a year ago as quarterback Jordan Travis and Co. dropped a whopping 45 points in front of an empty Hard Rock stadium sealing what should've been a goose egg had the 'Canes not scored their lone three points off a field goal.

Miami will make the trip to Tallahassee on November 11 for their annual rivalry game in what should likely have the same outcome if Cristobal can't get it together in Coral Gables.
