Florida State Continues To Sit Inside Top-5 Of AP Top 25 Poll Ahead Of Debut Of CFP Rankings
Florida State continued its best start since 2014 after defeating Wake Forest on the road to advance to 8-0. The Seminoles only need one more victory to secure their spot in the ACC Championship for the first time in nine years.

On Sunday afternoon, the weekly Associated Press Top 25 Poll was released. Florida State remained at No. 4 in the country following the victory over the Demon Deacons, marking the ninth straight week that the program has been ranked in the top 5. The team was also voted at No. 4 in the Coaches Poll. The complete AP Top 25 Poll can be viewed here.
Once again, the only teams ranked higher than Florida State include Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio State. The Seminoles received three first-place votes this week.
Florida State has hit the stretch run of its schedule which includes rivalry games against Miami and Florida. The Seminoles previously defeated two ranked teams during their run - LSU and Duke. FSU continues to be the highest-ranked team in the ACC for the tenth consecutive week to begin the 2023 season. Louisville (15) is the only other program in the conference that is currently ranked.
The Seminoles are the only team in the state of Florida to remain undefeated and ranked in the polls. The Seminoles are one of eight FBS programs that have yet to lose a game this year.
FSU will finish its two-game road trip against Pittsburgh this weekend. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
