Florida State Head Coach Mike Norvell Gives Passionate Speech After LSU Victory

"You saw what it looked like in the fourth quarter? That's because you're trained and you're built for it."

Emotions are running high for the No. 8 Florida State Seminoles as they are coming off a landslide 45-24 victory over the No. 8 LSU Tigers, in which they played lights out in the second half.

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell is known for his impassioned speeches to his team, and Sunday night was no different when he addressed his locker room after the victory. Wide receiver Johnny Wilson, who had 104 yards on the night, gave everyone a glimpse of what those speeches are like when he streamed one live.

"You all know I'm emotional! But everything has to be under control. We gave too much tonight," Norvell said to the locker room. "Ultimately, I am so proud of you. I'm so proud of you. Offense: I told you we'd score every time we got the ball in the second half."

The Seminole offense got into a rhythm in the second half of the contest, scoring much of their 45 points in the third and fourth quarters.

"You saw what it looked like in the fourth quarter? That's because you're trained and built for it."

The 'Noles travel back to Tallahassee, where they face Southern Miss on a short week.  It seems Norvell and the Seminoles are ready for what is expected to be unprecedented in 2023.

"In six days, you go and play another one!" Norvell yelled at his team. "But you know what? If you don't learn from it, if you don't embrace it, then you are going to miss out on the opportunities ahead for you. I don't give a s*** who we play. Just so ya'll know."
