The first day of spring camp is over as the Florida State Seminoles look ahead to an exciting year after finishing a 10-3 season strong with a Cheez-It bowl victory over the Oklahoma Sooners.

Head coach Mike Norvell met with the media earlier last week to discuss his plans for the upcoming season in which stars like quarterback Jordan Travis, running back Trey Benson, wide receiver Johnny Wilson and defensive end Jared Verse will be returning for what should be another breakout year for the Seminoles.

On Monday, Norvell gave insight on which players will be limited or who will miss camp altogether.

DL Braden Fiske - Fiske was ranked as the top transfer defensive lineman in the 2022 class after spending five seasons at Western Michigan. Last season he amassed 58 tackles, 12.0 tackles for loss with 6.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Fiske is expected to be limited through most of camp.

DL Jayden Jones is a JUCO transfer out of Hutchingson C.C. His teammates are already raving about his ability to come in, adapt and work. He is expected to be limited throughout spring.

WR Mycah Pittman - Pittman is expected to miss all of spring with an undisclosed injury which shouldn't affect the redshirt junior's ability to perform. He played in all 13 games last year, catching 32 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns.

DB Kevin Knowles - Knowles missing time isn't as big of a deal as some other players after playing in 13 games last season. After having two years in Norvell's system, he shouldn't see too much of a drop-off in play.

DL Aaron Hester - Hester redshirted last season and spent most of his time working with the scout team. If he can get healthy for fall camp, he should be able to move up the depth chart and continue to grow.

OL Robert Scott - Scott's absence shouldn't be felt as he is a redshirt sophomore and one of the more experienced players on the offensive line. Although not ideal, the missed reps won't be as big of an issue.

DL Malcolm Ray - Like Knowles, Ray has spent multiple years in the system, and aside from a conditioning standpoint, missing the spring shouldn't hurt his game very much, barring his injury is a serious one.
