Florida State Running Back Trey Benson Joins New Partnership With Surcheros

The partnerships keep rolling in for the Florida State running back.

Florida State Football's Trey Benson has appeared on numerous preseason watchlists. From top returning running backs this season and senior bowl invites, it isn't surprising more NIL deals are being brokered for the redshirt sophomore out of Greenville, Mississippi.

Players like defensive end Jared Verse, quarterback Jordan Travis, cornerback Jarrian Jones, defensive tackle Fabien Lovett Sr., tight end Jaheim Bell, defensive tackle Braden Fiske, defensive back Fentrell Cypress, defensive back Azareye'h Thomas, to name a few, along with true freshman wide receiver Hykeem Williams and wide receiver Johnny Wilson, have all been able to broker deals with local businesses and collectives in the new NIL era.

Benson transferred in from Oregon last off-season as a top-rated player heading into the 2022 season. He was ranked first in the ACC in yards per carry, 13th nationally last season. He finished 2022 with 990 rushing yards and nine scores on 154 carries while catching 15 passes for 144 yards. He also contributed on special teams as a kick returner with five kickoff returns for 192 yards and a touchdown. Benson was named second-team All-ACC and made ACC Running Back of the Week four times.

The newly founded partnerships continue to foster around the Seminoles as they prepare to make a title run in 2023.
