The Seminoles have dealt with their fair share of departures since the NCAA Transfer Portal officially opened on Monday.

On Thursday afternoon, another member of Florida State's roster decided to test out the transfer waters. Redshirt junior offensive lineman Thomas Schrader has elected to enter the portal, according to On3.

This doesn't come as much of a surprise as the reserve offensive lineman was honored during Senior Day prior to FSU's home finale. He played sparingly throughout his four years in Tallahassee, appearing in a career-high nine games in 2023, primarily on special teams as part of the field goal protection unit.

Injuries limited his impact while was with the Seminoles as he missed the entirety of the 2021 season with a leg injury. He earned playing time in 14 games during his time at Florida State, including a start at left guard against North Carolina State in 2020. That game marked the first time that the program had started four freshmen on the offensive line since the 2011 Champs Sports Bowl.

Shrader signed with the Seminoles as a three-star prospect in the 2020 class. He was a member of the ACC Honor Roll and a Seminole Scholar during the past three years. Shrader is the fourth offensive lineman to depart from the program since Tuesday as redshirt senior Bless Harris, redshirt freshman Daughtry Richardson, and redshirt freshman Qae'shon Sapp also hit the portal.

Overall, there have now been 11 Seminoles who announced their intentions to transfer and one player who opted out. Shrader, Harris, Richardson, Sapp, quarterback AJ Duffy, running back CJ Campbell, tight end Markeston Douglas, tight end Preston Daniel, defensive end Patrick Payton, defensive tackle Ayobami Tifase, and linebacker Dylan-Brown Turner are expected to enter the portal. Star wide receiver Johnny Wilson opted out to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.
