Florida State Seminoles Open As Slim Favorite In ACC Championship Against Louisville Cardinals

The Seminoles are favored to come out on top in their first trip to Charlotte in nine years.

The Seminoles finished off the regular season by taking care of business against one of their top rivals in Gainesville. Despite facing a 12-0 deficit in the first half, Florida State battled back to defeat the Gators and end their campaign in their own house. It was anything but pretty as head coach Mike Norvell guided his team to another comeback victory.

FSU will now be turning its attention the Louisville Cardinals as the team prepares for a shot at an ACC Championship for the first time in nine years. The Cardinals were upset by Kentucky in their regular season finale.

Opening odds were released for conference championship games around college football on Sunday afternoon. According to Circa Sports, Florida State opened as a four-point favorite against the Cardinals. The Over/Under is set at 52.5 points.

This is the first time this season that the Seminoles haven't been favored by double digits in back-to-back weeks. FSU was a touchdown favorite over the Gators last weekend before ultimately winning by nine points, 24-15.

FSU has won 18 straight games dating back to last season, the third-longest winning streak in the nation and the second-longest winning streak in program history. The Seminoles completed their seventh perfect regular season ever with the win over Florida.

Louisville finished 10-2 under first-year head coach Jeff Brohm. The Cardinals have a strong running game, productive front seven, and a veteran quarterback who has been able to manage the game effectively.

Florida State and Louisville will kick off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. The game will be televised on ABC.
