70 former coaches and players from the team are expected to be honored in Tallahassee. They will join the current Seminoles at the Legacy Walk prior to the game before being recognized during a ceremony on the field at halftime.
FSU finished 12-1 under former legendary head coach Bobby Bowden. The Seminoles defeated Nebraska 18-16 in the Orange Bowl following a 21-yard field goal by Scott Bentley to secure the first National Championship in program history.
Since then, the Seminoles have added two more rings to their trophy case after winning the title in 1999 and 2013.
