Former FSU Football Star Jordan Travis Provides Update On Recovery Process
Former Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis showcased a photo from a recent rehab session with the caption “See ya'll soon.” Travis suffered a gruesome injury on Nov. 18 against North Alabama, officially ending his collegiate career.
With no eligibility remaining, Jordan Travis is looking to recover in time to compete at the professional level.
There is a lot of physical and emotional pain tied to this injury. Not only did it abruptly end the career of a Heisman hopeful, but some believe it was the main reason Florida State was left out of the College Football Playoff (CFP).

When Florida State was not selected for the CFP despite being an undefeated Power Five champion, Travis posted on social media that he wished his “leg broke earlier in the season” so that the nation could’ve seen how good the team was regardless of his veteran presence on the field.
“Devastated. heartbroken. In so much disbelief [right now], I wish my leg broke earlier in the season so y’all could see this team is much more than the quarterback. I thought results matter. 13-0 and this roster matches up across any team in those top 4 rankings. I am so sorry. Go Noles!" wrote Travis.
The former FSU field general found himself at Louisville during his first year at the college level. However, the West Palm Beach native came home to the Sunshine State and eventually scratched and clawed into the starting job for the Seminoles.
While 2020 and 2021 had some highs and some lows, it wasn’t until the Miami game in 2021 that the team officially became “his.” Late in the fourth quarter, a beautifully placed deep ball to Ja’khi Douglas and a perfectly timed throw to Andrew Parchment on 4th and 14 solidified Travis’ place in FSU history forever.
He would become the only starting quarterback to go 3-0 against Miami.
The past two seasons brought the ’Noles a combined 23-4 record, big wins against LSU at neutral sites, a Cheez-It Bowl victory over Oklahoma, and an undefeated ACC conference record in 2023 with Travis as the starter.
Despite not having a Heisman Trophy or a national championship in his career, Jordan Travis’ name will always be associated with the revival of the program in the 2020s.
