Could Florida State see LSU in a bowl game to put a third chapter in its book against the Tigers? CBS Sports dropped their preseason bowl game projections, and the first iteration see the Seminoles take on the Tigers in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 in Miami, Florida.

In Week 1, the two teams will complete their two-game series, this time playing in Orlando. The two programs are finding their way back to the top of college football, bringing in electric recruits and transfers.

For both teams, the first matchup of the season is a challenge that sets the tone moving forward. Whichever team loses will take a major blow in their push for the College Football Playoffs. However, CBS Sports has both teams missing the playoffs, and rematching in the Orange Bowl.

Last year, when the two teams first began the series, the Seminoles took the matchup in New Orleans. A blocked PAT helped Florida State secure the 24-23 win after a hectic ending.

At SEC media day, Tigers head coach Brian Kelly opened up about the matchup.

"Going into this season, it certainly is going to be a great challenge for us as we open up against an outstanding Florida State team, which will challenge our football team," Kelly said.

The two sides of the matchup would have a great understanding of each other by a third matchup in two seasons and it's hard to imagine they wouldn't provide another incredibly close game.

For the Seminoles, the potential bowl game would also mean the program came away victorious in the ACC Championship for the first time in nine years.
