There is a lot of hype surrounding the release of EA Sports' College Football 2025, over a decade since their release of NCAA 2014. With the new landscape of the Name Image and Likeness (NIL) era, the shackles have been removed from the hotly contested debate of using actual NCAA athletes in video games without paying them.

EA Sports announced on Thursday that all 134 college football teams would be featured in the upcoming game, including Florida State, which is set to be released this summer with no hardline date, although some speculate it will be in July.

The official FSU Football account tweeted, "We're in the game!" in response.

The game will have some interesting aspects with university fight songs, including "The Warchant," while incorporating helmet stickers that progress as the season unfolds, simulating what athletes achieve throughout the year.

An interesting aspect tying back to NIL was reported by NFL writer Dov Kleivman and Sports Business Journal's Jason Wilson. They detailed the amount of money each of the 11,000 athletes will receive, adding another layer of controversy between the old and new heads of the college football prognosticator circles.

Soon, gamers at home will be able to enter the game's "Dynasty Mode" and play with their favorite player should the athlete accept the $600 and free video game. Thursday also marked the first-day college athletes can elect to participate.
