FSU Football Tied For Best Odds To Win 2024 ACC Championship
FanDuel put out a 2024 ACC Champion futures line in which Florida State is tied for the first-best betting odds with Clemson.
Both schools reside at a +280 line with the Miami Hurricanes (+450) and the Louisville Cardinals (+500) trailing behind. The Hurricanes received the second-best odds despite having never won an ACC title since joining the conference in 2004.
Of the seven teams with the best odds (excluding the Seminoles), FSU will play four of them. Two of those games will be on the road including a road trip to Dallas, Texas against SMU.
The ACC will feature three new squads this season. SMU, California, and Stanford will make the long journey to the Atlantic coast for around half of their games.
Five FSU Football Newcomers Who Impressed During Final Tour of Duty Session
There are multiple storylines including the two teams with the top betting odds.
Florida State and Clemson used to be longtime division rivals before the conference ended divisions in 2023. The rivalry remains despite the change.
Furthermore, the Seminoles snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Tigers in 2023, marking the first time Florida State beat Clemson in Death Valley since 2013.
Finally, Clemson and Oregon State quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalalei will face his former team on Oct. 5 in Doak Campbell Stadium.
As a true freshman with the Tigers, DJU relieved Trevor Lawrence and defied expectations, going 30-41 for 342 yards and two touchdowns against Boston College. He followed that up with a performance of 29-44 for 439 yards and two touchdowns against Notre Dame in South Bend.
Uiagalelei showed improvement in 2022, bettering his completion percentage (61.9%) as well as his TD/INT ratio (22/7). However, he was passed on by head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson faithful for then-freshman Cade Klubnik.
During his lone season at Oregon State, Uiagalelei had a 57% completion rate and threw 21 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
