No. 4 Florida State (12-0, 8-0 ACC) has had a remarkable regular season and is now set to face No. 14 Lousiville (10-2, 7-1 ACC) on December 2 in the 2023 ACC Championship Game. FSU's perfect 12-0 record is only the fourth time in school history, and their ACC Championship appearance will be the first time the Seminoles have been to Charlotte since 2014.

The 'Noles look to top the ACC and gain a spot in the College Football Playoff, and the Cardinals are the last team left standing in their way. Louisville presents a different set of circumstances led by senior quarterback Jack Plummer, who has 2,952 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2023.

"I mean, he's been through it. He's been in it. You see that he's a great commander of their offense. He can do it all," FSU head coach Mike Norvell said about Plummer. "He's more of a pocket passer, but they'll run speed option with him."

The Florida State defense is roaring off of a win last weekend over Florida, finishing the game with six sacks and eleven tackles for loss. They also held UF 7-16 on third downs. Facing a veteran presents a different set of challenges, and the 'Nole defense will need to hit home if they want to gain the upper hand.

"They'll get him on the edge. If you don't contain him, I think it's one of the things that's probably underappreciated for him is the things he will do with his legs," Norvell said. "Whether it's a scramble, a draw, the option things of forcing teams to account for him."

Not known for his running ability, Plummer has 60 yards on the ground this season, along with a score. In total, he has eight career rushing yards if you count the -126 from a season ago at Cal, according to ESPN.com. His major assets are his arm and the playmakers around him.

"But then, he makes all the throws. He locates the ball well," Norvell said. "He's got some dynamic players around him, and so he's done a great job with that offense."

The Cardinals currently have the 27th-ranked offense, according to PFF, with running backs Issac Guerendo (639 yards, eight touchdowns) and Jawhar Jordan (1,076, 13 touchdowns) leading the way.

The ACC Championship Game will kick off at 8:00 p.m. EST in Charlotte, NC, and will be broadcast on ABC.
