FSU Quarterback Jordan Travis Departs For Locker Room Prior To Conclusion Of First Half
Florida State enters halftime with a 17-3 advantage against Syracuse but there were plenty of moments of adversity during the first two quarters of the game. The Seminoles were held scoreless over their final three possessions of the half, including back-to-back stops on fourth down in enemy territory.

The most concerning development was a potential injury to starting quarterback Jordan Travis late in the half. With time winding down in the second quarter, FSU's offense was trying to put points on the board. As he attempted to throw a pass downfield, Travis was hit from his blindside and the ball went flying out of bounds.
Following the play, it was obvious that the redshirt senior signal-caller was in pain as he grasped at his left hand or wrist. Travis tried to shake off the injury as he spoke briefly with head coach Mike Norvell and a couple of trainers on the sideline.
Travis ended up coming in for one more play, a six-yard completion to running back Trey Benson. As the offense came off the field, he jogged straight to the locker room with two trainers flanking him, clearly favoring his left arm.
It appears that Travis will still be able to play if needed but he's definitely dealing with some type of ailment to his non-throwing arm and he was already wearing a brace or sleeve coming into the day. A couple of weeks ago, he landed awkwardly while bracing himself with his left arm in the win over Boston College.
Prior to the hit, Travis completed 14/23 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown while also rushing four times for -5 yards and another score. The Seminoles will receive the ball to begin the second half so it won't be long until we have an idea on whether he will be able to continue. If not, redshirt junior quarterback Tate Rodemaker would likely assume his place in the lineup.

UPDATE 1:54 PM: Travis is throwing on the field prior to the beginning of the third quarter. He doesn't have an additional wrap on his left wrist but there still seems to be a little discomfort in his throwing motion.
UPDATE 1:54 PM: Travis took the field with the offense and it looks like he will continue for the Seminoles.
