FSU Quarterback Jordan Travis Expected to Travel With Seminoles for Regular Season Finale

Travis continues to show support for his teammates in the wake of a tragic injury.

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis's devotion to his team has never wavered in Tallahassee. From a wide-eyed transfer out of Louisville to a veteran leader on the team, he evolved into a Heisman contender, setting multiple FSU records and guiding the Seminoles to a perfect 8-0 ACC record.

Unsurprisingly, after a freak injury added many question marks to his future, his Seminole spirit remains unconquered, and his role to his teammates remains steadfast.

The Seminoles have two of the season's biggest games ahead of them and are traveling to Gainesville, Florida, to face the Florida Gators this weekend. Travis left last week's 58-13 win over North Alabama in the first quarter with a devastating injury, which thrust backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker into the mix. He will now help lead his team again in a different role.

According to an FSU spokesperson, Travis traveled with the team, and the plan is for him to attend the game. He was recently at Wednesday's practice in a heavy cast while observing on a golf cart and has supported the team in any way he could.

Travis holds FSU's all-time total offense record with 10,554 yards and all-time touchdowns responsible for (97). He also holds the all-time quarterback rushing touchdown record (31), rushing yards (1,910), and rushing touchdowns (31).

Despite adversity, Travis's future seems bright. Reaching another ACC title and a College Football Playoff berth for the Seminoles is still within their grasp. Saturday's game against the Gators is yet another test for a team that has battled out of the trenches and returned to the national spotlight.
