Jared Verse, Trey Benson Detail Emotional Reactions To FSU Football Star Jordan Travis’ Recovery
15 former Florida State Seminoles are in Tallahassee to show off their talents to NFL scouts at FSU Pro Day ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. Florida State is coming off a 13-1 season in which the team was historically snubbed from the College Football Playoff, citing a devastating leg injury to then-quarterback Jordan Travis.

Months have passed and Travis has been making strides in his rehab and got a chance to meet with all of his teammates on Tuesday to kick off FSU's first spring practice of the 2024 season.
"Every time I see him I just smile because he came a long way. He didn't deserve that but, hey, he's a soldier," former FSU star running back Trey Benson said of Travis during his Pro Day interview. "I actually seen him throw yesterday on the field too and he looked good. You can't even tell he's hurt."
Travis suffered a gruesome leg injury against Northern Alabama which cut his season short and the loss of the star quarterback took a heavy toll on the team. Still, as horrific as it was, his recovery has been an impressive one.
"I think Trey said it best. It almost brings a tear to your eye when you see it. You know how hard J Trav works, you know how much he puts in for this," former FSU defensive end Jared Verse said. "He put his heart and soul into this program. Without J Trav this whole thing would have been a whole different situation... Him as a player, him as a person, like I was speaking about earlier, that's one of my brothers."
It seems that the former signal caller continues to inspire even on the sidelines and that his effect on the ACC Title Team expanded far from just on the field.
"It just makes you smile, makes you just genuinely happy to be alive that you know, people can overcome these things, these type of situations," Verse continued. "You just look at him, you're like, that's a strong guy right there. That's him right there. He means a lot to me."
Verse, Benson, and their 12 other teammates are set to participate on March 22 for FSU Pro Day.
