Jordan Travis Shares Post-Surgery Update With FSU Football Fans
The Florida State Seminoles had high aspirations heading into the 2023 college football season, and plenty of that was riding on Jordan Travis being an elite college football talent.
With Travis starting under center, the Seminoles started the season 11-0, and he was doing incredible things, that was until he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 12. Before the injury, Jordan put up 2,756 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns and just two interceptions on the season. He added 176 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns to his resume. Needless to say, he was incredibly sharp and was leading a top-five team through an undefeated season.
Former Gators Defensive Back Outraged After Florida State Adds Florida to 'Sod Cemetery'
Travis' injury added an extra layer of emotion to the Seminoles' season finale, which came against the Florida Gators in Gainesville. Backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker and the Seminoles took down the Gators while Travis was at the game.
On Tuesday, as the Seminoles are preparing to face off against the Louisville Cardinals for the ACC Championship, Travis took to social media to update Florida State fans post-surgery.
"Surgery was very successful. Thank you for all the prayers and love. All part of God's Plan."
Travis' career at Florida State might be done, but the entire fan base, along with the team, is rallying behind him as he takes a leap from college football to pro football after his recovery process.
After five years in Tallahassee and six years of college football, Travis' move to the NFL will be exciting to watch, as will his recovery and road back to the football field.
It's also fitting that, post-injury, the Seminoles went on to beat Florida before they play Louisville, Travis' first team in college before transferring to Florida State.
For Florida State fans and players rallying behind Travis, the provided update is only more encouraging and only brings more positive energy to the table ahead of an ACC title game on Saturday.
