Seattle Seahawks Cut Former Florida State Defensive Lineman For Second Time
The Seattle Seahawks opened up their preseason slate with a 24-13 victory against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night. In the days following the win, the team made a couple of different roster changes.

The undrafted free agent out of Florida State went through Rookie Mini-Camp with the franchise prior to being released on May 23. He rejoined Seattle last week in training camp and earned 21 snaps against the Vikings, recording a 31.9 overall grade according to PFF.
Cooper seems to be recovered from the shoulder injury that limited his participation over the offseason. He'll be searching for another opportunity in training camp with teams allowed to have 90 players under contract until August 29.
The Georgia native is coming off a five-year career at Florida State where he played under former head coach Willie Taggart and current head coach Mike Norvell. Cooper was limited by injuries during his last couple of years with the Seminoles but he had a greater impact than just what he did between the lines.
Cooper was a back-to-back All-ACC honorable mention to conclude his college career. He totaled 132 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three pass deflections, and a fumble recovery in 57 appearances, with 41 starts. Cooper was honored with FSU's Bobby Bowden Leadership Award following the 2022 season. He had five games of 5+ tackles during his five years at Florida State, including a career-high eight tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack in a victory against Syracuse in 2019.
