If you were a fan of the Florida State Seminoles in the '90s, many names bring back memories of high-profile, intense battles from years past coupled with championship celebrations that put the program on the map. One of those names is legendary Hall of Fame wide receiver Peter Warrick, arguably the best wide receiver to ever wear garnet and gold.

Warrick had a phenomenal career at Florida State, leaving Tallahassee with 32 touchdowns and 3,517 yards through the air, adding another four scores on the ground. His legacy will continue to grow with the Seminoles as the two-time All-American and National Champion's son is now suiting up for the program he starred for from 1995-99.

Peter Warrick, Jr., a transfer from FAU and a three-star recruit from the class of 2020, has been added to the roster heading into fall camp and, slightly straying from his father's footsteps, will play defensive back as a walk-on for the 'Noles.

This is a fairly recent addition as the Georgia native wasn't listed on the roster provided in the team's media guide last week. The older Warrick was even in attendance on Thursday to watch his son's first practice at Florida State.

Warrick Jr. played safety and linebacker for Marieta High School during his prep career in the Peach State, tallying 129 tackles and four interceptions. Warrick played a pivotal role in the Blue Devils' 2019 AAAAAAA state championship. The dual sport athlete played baseball as well, ending his sophomore year with 11 stolen bases and four triples.

According to his bio at Florida Atlantic, Warrick Jr. hasn't recorded a stat during his two years at the college level, but that could change under defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain, Sr., and the veteran secondary's guidance. It's also another example of Florida State's ability to stock the roster with depth as they were able to bring in an FBS transfer as a walk-on.

Head coach Mike Norvell offered Warrick, Jr. at his previous stop in Memphis, so it isn't a shocker he would add him to the roster at FSU. This addition could end up being fruitful for the Seminoles in more ways than one.
