Florida State head coach Mike Norvell and company have been hitting the NCAA Transfer Portal with a full head of steam as they prepare for another attempt at a perfect regular season and playoff berth in 2024. Over this past weekend, FSU signed six talented transfer portal players to go along with Oregon State transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who joined the Seminoles this past month.

With the departures of Keon Coleman, Trey Benson, and Johnny Wilson to the NFL, the Seminoles will be looking to replace vacancies on the roster and found a burner in Indiana Hooser transfer Jaylin Lucas.

Lucas has two years of eligibility left in college, and watching some of Lucas' highlights, there are similarities in speed with Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound versatile athlete out of Houma, LA, is the brother of current Seminole speedster Ja'Khi Douglas. Known as an All-American special teams returner, he's coming off a season where he rushed 67 times for 275 yards for two touchdowns while catching 34 passes for 247 yards and two more. During his two years in Indiana, he returned 43 kicks for 1,163 yards and three scores.

Lucas joins defensive back Davonte Brown, wide receiver Jalen Brown, defensive lineman Grady Kelly, defensive back Earl Little Jr., and wide receiver Malik Benson, who all committed to Florida State over the weekend. The Seminoles have since added defensive end Tomiwa Durojaiye and defensive end Sione Lolohea.
