The Florida State Seminoles started true freshman quarterback Brock Glenn again, replacing an injured Jordan Travis, and with Tate Rodemaker and AJ Duffy in the transfer portal. The offense was looking sluggish, much like the start of the ACC Championship game, before Glenn connected deep downfield for Kentron Poitier.

Glenn's fourth completion of the game to Poitier went for 55 yards, the longest completion of his young career. It was also the longest reception of Poitier's career.

Florida State would not be able to turn the long gain into a touchdown but Ryan Fitzgerald was able to get the 'Noles on the board with a 22-yard field goal to make it 14-3. Since then, the Bulldogs have added a few more touchdowns.

Being able to hit the deep shot was a welcome sight to Seminoles fans, after Brock Glenn had just 55 passing yards the entire game against Louisville. Coach Norvell and Glenn tried a deep shot earlier in the game to Darion Williamson that was overthrown. This was a phenomenal effort by Poitier to fight through the contact and come down with the big-time catch.

Poitier has been banged up most of the season with various injuries, entering the game with just 2 receptions for 52 yards in 7 games. He out-produced that within the first 20 minutes of the game today. With star receivers Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson opting out for the NFL Draft, it leads to more opportunities for guys like Poitier to make plays.
