WATCH: FSU Football Rising Star Defensive Lineman Squats Over 600 Pounds
Florida State concluded its winter conditioning program and the Tour of Duty with the annual squat party on Friday. Seminoles across the roster were able to show off the progress they've made over the last few months under Strength & Conditioning Director Josh Storms.
There were plenty of impressive numbers put up by returners and newcomers alike. However, rising star defensive tackle Joshua Farmer opened up some eyes by squatting a whopping 615 pounds. He completed the lift while surrounded by his teammates, who were providing plenty of hype and energy.

Farmer's growth since arriving at FSU has been notable. He was listed at 250 pounds coming out of high school and now weighs in at 311 pounds. Farmer is one of the faces of the Seminole defense entering spring practice.
The Florida native is coming off a breakout season where he recorded a career-high 32 tackles, seven tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble, and two pass deflections. He was limited by a hand injury down the stretch of the season but appears to be back at full strength in the middle of the offseason.
Farmer and running mate Darrell Jackson are expected to play massive roles in the middle of Florida State's defense in 2024.
Some of the other Seminoles to put up big squat numbers included quarterback DJ Uiagalelei (400+ pounds), running back Kam Davis (535 pounds), wide receiver Camdon Frier (495 pounds), wide receiver BJ Gibson (485 pounds), wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs (425 pounds), offensive lineman Darius Washington (585 pounds), defensive end Patrick Payton (475 pounds), defensive tackle KJ Sampson (545 pounds), and safety KJ Kirkland (425 pounds).
