WATCH: Jordan Travis Gives Florida State Early Lead With Rushing Touchdown On Opening Drive

The Florida State Seminoles strike first in North Carolina as they open their matchup against Wake Forest with a touchdown.

The Florida State Seminoles are taking on Wake Forest in a matchup that could see the Seminoles advance to 8-0 on the season. They are, however, without Johnny Wilson and Destyn Hill, two starting wide receivers.

Still, on the first drive of the game, Jordan Travis completed five of his six passes. He's making an effort to find Keon Coleman early to get him going, too. There was one scare, where there was a miscommunication and Travis should have been intercepted, but they were bailed out.

Other than that and a mishap on a handoff situation, the Seminoles completed a very solid drive as Travis finished things off with a 13-yard touchdown run.

The nine-play, 75-yard touchdown drive was made possible by a huge 33-yard catch from Kentron Poitier. In Wilson and Hill's absence, it'll be interesting to see who continually shows up for Travis, or if the Seminoles can make an emphasis on the ground game.

So far, the Seminoles lead 7-0 and are looking to string together a drive and set themselves up for an early two-score lead.

Through the first two drives, Travis has 88 all-purpose yards and seems to be setting up for a huge day himself.
