The 2024 NFL Draft is right around the corner and the 32 teams around the league are dotting their "i's" and crossing their "t's" on the draft board as April 25th approaches. Florida State sent 12 players to the NFL Combine with many finishing in the top of their respective categories.

One standout, Florida State defensive end Jared Verse, continued to build upon his productive career in Tallahassee.

The Dayton, OH native could be taking his talents to Atlanta on a Top-30 visit, NFL Draft Analyst Ryan Fowler first reported.

The Atlanta Falcons are currently slated to have their first pick at No. 8 and their second-round pick at No. 43. Verse is coming off of back-to-back nine-sack seasons and his impact was felt in 2023 not only by his stats but by how teams had to prepare for him.

"I think the best players should be picked first," Verse told the media during his NFL Combine interview. "I don't think there's anything that's wrong with it, so the best player should be picked first...I definitely think I should be considered."

The Falcons are in desperate need of the high-level production that Verse could bring. It is expected that wherever he lands, it will be in the first round, making him an excellent option in Atlanta. During his time in Garnet and Gold, the All-American amassed 70 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, and a forced fumble, recovering two across 21 games.

Verse currently has a draft score of 84 which ranks him as the third-best edge defender in the upcoming draft. He measured in at 6'4'', 235 pounds, with a 33 1/2'' wingspan.
