There are less than ten days remaining until the 2024 NFL Draft begins and anticipation is building in Tallahassee during what should be a busy period for former Florida State stars.

The Seminoles sent 12 prospects to the annual NFL Combine and could have 10+ players drafted for the first time since 2015. Nine years ago, a trio of standouts from the program landed with the same team as Ronald Darby, Karlos Williams, and Nick O'Leary were selected by the Buffalo Bills.

Could a similar trend repeat itself later this month? In a recent mock draft released by CBS Sports, Chris Trapasso projected the Houston Texans to land Renardo Green in the third round (No. 86) and Jarrian Jones in the fourth round (No. 127).

Green is coming off a campaign where he totaled 43 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, 13 pass breakups, and one interception while being named Second-Team All-ACC. He ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash and recorded a 10'10" broad jump at the combine. It feels like Green is flying somewhat under the radar for his efforts as a lockdown cornerback but he could still find himself as a top-100 pick.

Jones saved his best season for his final run in Tallahassee as he recorded a career-high 25 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, three pass breakups, three interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 2023. He was rewarded with the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award for his efforts following the season. Jones ran a 4.38-second 40-yard dash and had a 39.5-inch vertical jump in Indianapolis.

Outside of Green and Jones, Jared Verse (LA Rams, No. 19), Braden Fiske (Baltimore Ravens, No. 30), Trey Benson (Cleveland Browns, No. 54), Renardo Green (Houston Texans, No. 86), Keon Coleman (Buffalo Bills, No. 101), Fabien Lovett (Jacksonville Jaguars, No. 116), Jarrian Jones (Houston Texans, No. 127), Jaheim Bell (Atlanta Falcons, No. 143), Johnny Wilson (Kansas City Chiefs, No. 173), and Jordan Travis (Pittsburgh Steelers, No. 195) were all included in the mock draft.

The 2024 NFL Draft begins on April 25 live from Detroit.
