WATCH: Kentron Poitier Makes Jaw-Dropping Catch In FSU Football's Latest Practice

A highlight reel catch for the veteran wide receiver.

Florida State has a hole to fill at wide receiver with Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson making the leap to the NFL. There are plenty of contenders on the roster vying to fill their shoes and one of the front-runners is rising redshirt senior Kentron Poitier. The former "King of the Spring" was plagued by injuries in 2023 but he's back with the Seminoles and trying to assume a major role on the offense.

Poitier has flashed at times early in spring practice but Tuesday evening marked one of his more consistent outings so far. He came down with a highlight reel catch in 1-on-1's while matched up against rising star cornerback Azareye'h Thomas. Poitier made the play on a throw from Luke Kromenhoek into the end zone that forced the wide receiver to use all of his 6-foot-4 frame and wingspan to complete a jaw-dropping one-handed catch.

Thomas wasn't in bad position on the play it was just an even better finish from Poitier. Check out the snag below.

Ahead of his fifth year at Florida State, Poitier has appeared in 41 games, with three starts. He was named the most improved offensive player on the team in 2022 after catching 14 passes for 283 yards and four touchdowns. This past season, Poitier tied his single-game career-highs with four catches for 84 yards in the Orange Bowl, including a 55-yard reception. He's totaled 28 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns in garnet and gold.

The Florida native signed with the Seminoles as a three-star prospect in the 2020 class. Poitier's one of five senior wide receivers on the roster alongside Ja'Khi Douglas, Darion Williamson, Deuce Spann, and Malik Benson.
