After his sixth year in the NFL, most offensive coordinators will remember DeMarcus Walker as the guy with seven sacks, 32 pressures and 16 quarterback hits in 2022 who is expected to sign a deal with the Chicago Bears in the upcoming days, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.

Going 3-14 in 2022, the Bears have been on a free agency snatch and grab, reportedly signing former Buffalo Bill Tremaine Edmunds, Philidelphia Eagle T.J. Edwards, along with Tennesee Titan Nate Davis in what seems to be a power play after trading their No. 1 overall draft pick to the Carolina Panthers.

You may remember him from the infamous "Block at the Rock" in Coral Gables. You may remember him as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, or as an anchoring point for a Florida State defense when the Jimbo Fisher era was starting to decline.

Drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2nd round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Walker is expected to make around $14M over the next two years with the Bears after spending time with the Texans and the Titans. He can be a crucial asset on the edge and the interior for a team looking to gain an advantage from the open market.

During his six years with the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans, Walker has totaled 144 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two pass deflections in 66 appearances, with 13 starts.

The Bears will get Carolina's 9th and 61st pick in 2023, according to ABC7 Chicago, the Panthers' 1st-round pick the following season and a 2nd-round pick in 2025.
