Diving into Jammie Robinson's performance at the 2023 NFL Combine
The annual NFL Combine is underway in Indianapolis and will last through Monday, March 6. With some of the top prospects in the upcoming draft under one roof, players have been trying to separate themselves in meetings and with their athletic testing.

Florida State only has one representative participating at the combine this year - former star safety Jammie Robinson.
Over the last couple of days, he's gone through a variety of medical exams, team interviews, media interviews, among other activities. He met with multiple teams including the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions.
On Friday, Robinson finally hit the field to measure in and showcase his athleticism. He measured in at 5-foot-10 5/8-inches and 191 pounds with 29 5/8-inch arms and 8 3/4-inch hands.
The Georgia native had two attempts on his 40-yard dash. His first run was recorded at 4.60 seconds and he slightly improved his time to 4.59 seconds on the second run. Robinson had a 10-yard split of 1.58 seconds. The time ranked 13 out of the 19 safeties who participated in the 40-yard dash.
Robinson finished with a 33.5-inch vertical jump and a broad jump of 9'8" which ranked 11 and 19 out of the safety group, respectively. Those athletic testing numbers have him sitting at an estimated athleticism score of 57 according to NFL.com which puts him near the bottom of the safeties in attendance at the combine. He was able to hit 23 bench press reps of 225 pounds which was tied for second at his position.
Those who watched him at Florida State understand that Robinson isn't known for his size or elite athleticism. He's a savvy, gritty defender who is physical against the run and takes the right angles to make up for his lack of top-end speed.
That's why it wasn't any surprise when Robinson put together a solid outing in position-specific drills.
The Georgia native will have an opportunity to improve on his combine numbers at Florida State's Pro Day on Friday, March 31.
Robinson previously attended the Senior Bowl where he was named safety practice player of the week by his teammates. He recorded three total tackles and stood out on special teams during the exhibition game.
During his two years with the Seminoles after transferring from South Carolina, Robinson totaled 183 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, one sack, eight pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and five interceptions in 25 appearances (all starts). He concluded his college career as a back-to-back First-Team All-ACC selection at safety and was the first Florida State defensive back to earn the honor since Jalen Ramsey in 2014-15.
