Former FSU Cornerback's Scary Collision Ends New England Patriots' Preseason Game
The New England Patriots and The Green Bay Packers agreed to stop their Week 2 NFL preseason matchup last Saturday after an ominous friendly fire helmet-to-helmet left former Florida State Seminole and New England Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden lying motionless on the field.
Following the impact, coaches and medical staff were forced to cart the rookie player off the field and he was eventually taken to a local hospital. The New England Patriots released a statement on Sunday detailing the incident while stating that Bolden was back with the team.

"After undergoing a series of evaluations and being held for overnight observations, Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden has been released from the Aurora Bay Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was transported to after sustaining an on-field injury in the fourth quarter of Saturday night's preseason game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers."
"Isaiah will travel with the team today. We thank the medical staff at Aurora Bay Medical Center for their overnight evaluations, as well as the Patriots and Packers medical staffs for their immediate on-field response and care in transporting Isaiah to a nearby hospital. Due to the circumstances surrounding the abrupt and unexpected ending to last night's game, the Patriots will return to Foxborough today."
The statement also reported that their upcoming practices against the Tennesee Titans this week are canceled and that the team will travel to Nashville for Friday night's game.
"The joint practices that were scheduled with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday and Wednesday are canceled. The team will train in Foxborough this week and fly to Nashville on Thursday for Friday night's game."
Seemingly ok, Bolden took to Twitter on Sunday to confirm that he was 'excited to be back with the guys.'
Bolden spent two seasons with the Seminoles and weathered the transition to the Mike Norvell era before eventually meeting up with head coach Deion Sanders at Jackson State. He was drafted in the seventh round by the Patriots and was the only HBCU player to get taken in the 2023 Draft.
