Former Florida State star running back Dalvin Cook has yet to find a partnership during his free agency. Since being released from the Minnesota Vikings, Cook has been meeting with teams and looking for his next home.

Though he remains without a team, Cook was ranked as one of the top ten running backs in the NFL by a variation of coaches, executives, and scouts, in a list that ESPN's Jeremy Fowler put together.

Here are the top ten rankings from ESPN:

  1. Nick Chubb
  2. Christian McCaffrey
  3. Josh Jacobs
  4. Saquon Barkley
  5. Derrick Henry
  6. Jonathan Taylor
  7. Alvin Kamara
  8. Dalvin Cook
  9. Tony Pollard
  10. Austin Ekeler

The former Seminole is coming off four straight Pro Bowl appearances. He's got more than enough gas left in the tank, and some team is going to get an incredible starting running back through free agency.

With the Vikings, Cook had amassed at least 1,000 or more rushing yards in each of his last four seasons since he's been able to stay healthier in that timeframe.

One of the biggest issues for Cook early in his career was his availability, but he is coming off one of his healthier seasons, playing all 17 games, and appears to be feeling like his old self.

“Now it’s over. Now I can be Dalvin Cook, back to Florida State Dalvin Cook, and just turn it loose," Cook said on The Adam Schefter Podcast.

Still, a top ten current running back, Cook was the Seminoles' all-time leading rusher and was a unanimous All-American in his final season at Florida State. He's represented the school well since joining the NFL, but he's still searching for the right situation to make a Super Bowl push.

There's a chance Cook joins the right situation that allows him to both play at a high level and compete for a Super Bowl simultaneously.
