After sliding farther in the 2023 NFL Draft than he anticipated, former Florida State star Jammie Robinson is bringing a chip on his shoulder into Carolina. Robinson was selected by the Panthers in the fifth round with the No. 145 overall pick on the final day of the festivities in Kansas City.

Just three days after being drafted, the Georgia native has already agreed to terms on a four-year rookie contract with Carolina. According to Spotrac, Robinson's deal is worth a total of $4.1 million and he received a signing bonus of $336,388. He will hold a cap hit of $834,097 in the first year of the contract and $1,229,097 in the final year.

Robinson is the first 2023 NFL Draft pick to sign a rookie deal with a franchise. It's clear he's ready to get to work and start providing the doubters wrong.

During his two years with the Seminoles after transferring from South Carolina, Robinson totaled 183 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, one sack, eight pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and five interceptions in 25 appearances (all starts). He concluded his college career as a back-to-back First-Team All-ACC selection at safety and was the first Florida State defensive back to earn the honor since Jalen Ramsey in 2014-15.

Robinson concluded his time with the Seminoles on a high note as he finished with a team-high 13 tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup in the Cheez-It Bowl victory against Oklahoma. It was the 14th time in his career that he recorded double-digit tackles in a game.

In total, Robinson recorded 318 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, one sack, seven interceptions, and 16 pass deflections during his four years in college that were split with South Carolina and Florida State.

His versatility will be an asset for the Panthers as Robinson can play multiple positions in the defensive backfield.
