Free Agent Dalvin Cook Favored to Land With Cowboys, Dolphins, Patriots

The saga continues on who will land the Pro Bowl running back.

The free agency market is loaded with talented running backs. Players like Leonard Fournette and Ezekiel Elliot have flooded the market in the midst of a new era in which NFL teams are leaning towards not breaking major deals with guys carrying the rock amidst speculation that their shelf life might be expiring.

Former Florida State running back Dalvin Cook couldn't reach a deal with the Minnesota Vikings and was released in the off-season. A major question mark for the four-time Pro Bowler is where he will end up when it is all said and done.

The New England Patriots have emerged as +150 betting favorites to land Cook, who has rushed for over 1000 yards the past four seasons according to DraftKings Sports Book. Cook had reportedly been favored to the Miami Dolphins and teased about it via Twitter while also being pursued by the New York Jets a month ago.

The Dolphins are still a good bet at +200, along with the Jets at +400, but the odds drop remarkably after that. The Denver Broncos, Washington Commanders, and the Dallas Cowboys are all tied for fourth at +1500.

Cook rushed for 1,173 yards and eight scores with the Vikings in 2022 while adding 39 receptions, 295 yards, and another two scores through the air making him one of the best running backs in the league.

Although Miami would be a logical choice, the Patriots could be looking to add a complementary piece to their current running back room.
