BREAKING: 2026 ATH Darryl Bell Announces Commitment To Florida State

The Seminoles land their second pledge in the 2026 class in the form of a special athlete out of South Florida.

Florida State's coaching staff has displayed an ability to focus on the present while always investing resources toward the future. That's been one reason that the Seminoles were able to establish a strong foundation in #Tribe24 and it's something that they'll continue to prioritize moving forward.

On Tuesday evening, 2026 athlete Darryl Bell announced on social media that he was committing to Florida State. The news was quickly confirmed by head coach Mike Norvell with his normal post following an announcement. Bell chose the Seminoles over early offers from programs such as Louisville, Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, FAMU, and Bethune Cookman.

The sophomore spends most of his time playing wide receiver and safety for Goleman High School. He's caught eight passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns on offense while recording 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack on defense so far this season, per MaxPreps.

Bell picked up a scholarship offer from the Seminoles back in May. He had a personal meeting with Mike Norvell in his office following his performance at one of FSU's Individual Camps the following month.

With his pledge, Bell is the second prospect to join Florida State's 2026 recruiting class very early in the cycle. The Seminoles previously picked up a pledge from four-star wide receiver and FSU legacy, Devin Carter, over the offseason.

The 6-foot, 175-pound athlete has yet to be ranked by 247Sports in the 2026 class.
