BREAKING: Class of 2024 Three-Star Linebacker Commits to Florida State
The month of July has been good for the Seminoles. After landing 5-star defensive back Charles Lester III and 4-star offensive tackle Manasse Itete, the 'Noles can add another commitment heading into fall.
3-star linebacker Timir Hickman-Collins out of Indian Land high school in Fort Mill, South Carolina announced his commitment to #Tribe24 Sunday afternoon via Twitter. He recently attended FSU's Seminole Showcase on July 29 and it appears the impression left on him was enough to pull the trigger.
the 6-foot-1, 218-pound prospect picked up an offer from FSU in May of 2023 after unofficially visiting the month prior. He held offers from Georgia Tech, Charleston Southern and Charlotte. Florida State was the only school he visited before making a decision.
Ranked as the No. 82 linebacker in the country and No. 14 in South Carolina, he will be another player to bolster the sixth-ranked recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports.com.
In 2022, the dual-sport athlete was an honorable mention in the 4A All-State team as a linebacker. He helped the Warriors go 7-5, advancing to the second round of the playoffs.
Hickman-Collins also runs track. In 2023, he ran 12.57 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 24.85 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
