Florida State Offers Top-100 Prospect Who Is Committed To Big Ten Program

On Monday evening, four-star safety Koi Perich announced on social media that he had picked up an offer from Florida State. Perich is a top-100 prospect who has been committed to Minnesota since April. He also holds offers from USC, Washington, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska, among others.
Perich is an extremely intriguing athlete who plays just about any position you can imagine on both sides of the ball along with returning kicks. His versatility led to him totaling 1,167 yards total yards and 20 touchdowns on offense while recording 74 tackles, four forced fumbles, three interceptions, and two sacks on defense along with five touchdowns in the return game as a junior. That success has continued into his senior season.
That's not all the Minnesota native does, however. He's racked up over 1,000 career points in basketball and holds a state title in the long jump that he won in tenth grade. Perich has been a state qualifier in the triple jump and 200-meter dash. He ran a 10.89-second 100-meter dash as a junior. 247Sports placed him at No. 5 on their 2023 Freaks List.
This is certainly the type of do-it-all athlete that Florida State looks for at the prep level. They can afford to take some shots at prospects that previously might've not been available. The Seminoles are quickly ascending back to a national name under head coach Mike Norvell and their reach on the trail is expanding.
The Seminoles already have multiple defensive backs committed in #Tribe24, including five-star safety KJ Bolden, five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III, and three-star safety CJ Heard. The class holds 22 verbal commitments and ranks No. 4 in the country.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety is regarded as the No. 84 overall prospect, the No. 8 S, and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Minnesota in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
