Overall, head coach Mike Norvell and the coaching staff appeared to make a good impression on the recruits throughout the weekend. Coming out of the trip, four-star prospect and versatile running back Christian Clark remarked on the environment in Tallahassee.
"They all keep it real. Just a great environment," Clark said to NoleGameday's Tommy Mire. "This is like a strong brotherhood here that I admire. Somewhere that I would love to be around even when football is over. Being in a good space around good people."
Spending time around the players was an aspect of the visit that caught his attention. Clark was able to interact with running back CJ Campbell, cornerback Greedy Vance, and cornerback Kevin Knowles to get a different perspective on Florida State.
"My interactions with all the players. They took me in as a little brother, made me feel at home," Clark said. "Interacting with other recruits, spent a lot of time with Wardell Mack, he's really cool. Spending time with coach Norvell, coach YAC, like the people that I'm going to be around every single day."
The Arizona native paid close attention during his conversation with Campbell. He's already learned a lot about the running back room during a prior visit to Florida State.
"They're just close with each other, all of them," Clark said. "They do everything together, they're just locked in. They all have the same goal and they support each other."
Aside from head coach Mike Norvell, Clark has built an exceptional relationship with running backs coach David Johnson. The two have an 'uncle/nephew' type of bond. The running back room has been highly productive over the past few seasons and Clark seems to have taken notice.
"He's been able to use three or four running backs a game and they're all being productive, a lot of yards per carry," Clark said. "He just develops them in a great way. He teaches the running backs unselfishness, teaches them life skills."
Though Florida State already has top 2024 running back Kam Davis committed in its class, the Seminoles showed Clark a plan for how they would utilize both players. After all, Norvell and Johnson did have three future NFL running backs in the same offense at Memphis.
"Just multiple versatile running backs," Clark said. "Could use them in different ways and be really effective for the offense."
"What'd they have like three NFL running backs in the offense and they used them at the same time?" Clark continued. "It shows that no matter how many carries you can still be seen. It matters what you do with the ball when you get it."
Prior to the conclusion of the weekend, Clark sat down with coach Norvell for a meeting in his office.
"Discussed how they would use me in the offense," Clark said. "How I could benefit off the field as well as on the field, like being successful in life.
Clark has upcoming visits scheduled to Oregon, Texas, and Georgia. He will likely check out Alabama before a decision as well.
Regardless, Florida State is sitting in a good spot for his eventual commitment.
"I really love it here," Clark said. "My mom, she went here. My uncle went here. Florida State's always has been in my blood, so it really feels like home here."
The 6-foot, 195-pound running back is regarded as the No. 278 overall prospect, the No. 22 RB, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Arizona in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
