The Georgia baseball team got things turned back around this weekend as they swept No. 11 Alabama and they've cracked the top-25 College Baseball rankings.

The Georgia baseball team got things turned back around this weekend as they swept No. 11 Alabama. The weekend prior the Bulldogs hit a rough patch against Kentucky on the road as the Wildcats swept them, but now head coach Wes Johnson and his team are back on a win streak. Georgia was so impressive this weekend that Baseball America slid them into their top 25 rankings with them sitting at 24th.

This is the first time that Georgia has made Baseball America's rankings since 2022. The NCAA Baseball rankings haven't quite come around on the Bulldogs being a top 25 team, but the Bulldogs are starting to be recognized as one of the best teams in the nation thanks to their high-powered offensive presence at the plate this season.

As a team, Georgia hit 11 home runs this past weekend. Corey Collins made the headlines during Sunday's game as he smashed two home runs and tallied 4 RBIs in Georgia's 10-5 victory over the Crimson Tide. Dylan Goldstein and Paul Toetz joined in on the dinger parade yesterday as well.

Christian Mracna's impressive Sunday start played a major role in the Bulldogs' earning the sweep as well. In 4.2 innings, Mracna allowed just one run off of five hits and fanned seven batters. After that, it was a culmination of DJ Radtke, Daniel Padysak, Josh Roberge and Brian Zeldin that helped finish the job. The staff finished with nine strikeouts, eleven hits and five earned runs.

From a holistic perspective, there's no denying that Charlie Condon has taken the reigns of this team. After this weekend, Condon holds a .517 batting average, an OPS of 1.850, 17 home runs and 37 RBI. He has been one of the nation's best players and has helped propel the Bulldogs to the top of the sport this season in Coach Johnson's first season as head coach.

Georgia will host Mercer on Tuesday for an out-of-conference matchup before heading up to Knoxville, Tennessee for their third conference series of the season against the Volunteers.
