Georgia has several keynote transfers that made their debut on Saturday during G-Day. We take a look at which transfers made a major impact on Saturday.

Georgia's annual spring game was on Saturday afternoon, and though the football game ended in a tie, there were still some winners and losers coming out of the spring for this Georgia Football team that's preseason ranked No. 1 entering the 2024 fall.

Though Georgia recruits at an optimal level, they were still very much in need of bolstering this roster via the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. Since December, they have taken (7) transfers out of the portal, with six of them having played in Saturday's scrimmage — Stanford TE, Benjamin Yurosek will be on campus this summer. How did the new faces perform on Saturday and this spring?

WR, Colbie Young
Young was a mismatch all spring with regards to 50/50 football. If it was in the air near Young, it seemed as if it was his ball to lose all spring, according to sources. He confirmed all of those rumors on Saturday, catching a touchdown in the redzone on a fade ball over the top of CB, Julian Humphrey. Humphrey played the ball really well, he was just being asked to guard a 6'5, 200 pound leaper in the form of Young.

RB, Trevor Etienne
Etienne was in the news and headlines for the wrong reason this spring with regard to trouble off the field. However, he was noticeably electric during Saturday's scrimmage. He was the back with the most explosives, though some of them were called back due to penalties. It was obvious why Etienne has been an effective back in this conference for two years now. When he's in the open field, it's quite a task to tackle him. He made several defenders miss on Saturday and even drew comparisons to D'Andre Swift and James Cook from Kirby Smart in postgame comments.

Xavier McCleod, DT
"I just want more consistency, I want him to be that disruptive and consistent every day when we practice too." That was Kirby Smart Saturday afternoon following G-Day's scrimmage when talking about Xavier McCleod. McCleod transferred to Georgia after one freshman season with the South Carolina Gamecocks. He enters Georgia's program and it's noticeable from Saturday's performance that he's going to be one of Georgia's more disruptive defensive linemen this season. Georgia has needed
