Bulldogs Litter First Round in Mel Kiper's First Mock Draft
Notable NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper has released his first mock draft as the NFL Draft quickly approaches. In his first mock draft, Kiper predicts three Bulldogs to be selected in the first round with one being selected as the fifth overall pick.
The first Bulldog predicted to be taken off the board is Brock Bowers who is coming off his second consecutive season as the nation's Mackey Award winner. He is the only player in collegiate history to win the award more than once.
Following the selection of Brock Bowers, cornerback Kamari Lassiter is predicted to be the next Bulldog taken off the board. Lassiter started two seasons for the Bulldogs and was a lockdown corner on the team's elite defense.
Finally, Kiper predicts offensive tackle Amarius Mims to be selected as the final pick of the first round. Despite starting less than 10 games during his career at Georgia, Mims' elite size and talent have made him an extremely high-profile draft prospect.
With Pro days and the NFL combine still yet to take place, mock drafts will likely be updated as the draft approaches. However, Kiper's first mock draft is an excellent indicator of the amount of success the Bulldogs will have in this year's draft.
