Georgia Bulldogs Look to Break SEC Win Streak Saturday vs Georgia Tech
Throughout the Georgia Bulldogs' recent stretch of dominance, the team has accomplished some historic milestones. Apart from having its first Heisman Trophy finalist in nearly 30 years and shattering NFL Draft records. The team has become the first of the College Football Playoff era to win back-to-back national championships. But this Saturday, the Bulldogs will have the chance to complete one of their most impressive feats yet.
Kirby Smart and his Georgia Bulldogs team have been adamant that they are not focused on records or winning streaks. And while that may be true, that hasn't stopped the Bulldogs from piling up "W" after "W".
With a win over Georgia Tech on Saturday, the Bulldogs will have earned 29 straight victories which would surpass the SEC's all-time winning streak of 28 games. The current record is held by two separate Alabama Crimson Tide teams under two different coaches.
The Bulldogs are currently more than three score favorites over their in-state rivals and have not lost to them since the 2016 season. This would suggest that if the Bulldogs play anywhere near the game they are capable of playing on Saturday, Kirby Smart and his team will leave Atlanta with not just a win, but an SEC record as well.
