The Georgia Football program had its second of fifteen scheduled practices for this spring practice window. Here's what Dawgs Daily was able to surmise.
The Georgia Football program had their second of fifteen scheduled practices for this spring practice window. Spanning from March 12th to April 13th with the annual G-Day scrimmage game, the Bulldogs have limited time to get better. The media was allowed to get a first-hand look at the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs for the first time on Thursday afternoon.
Here's what Dawgs Daily was able to surmise during the fifteen-minute viewing window.
Georgia Football Practice Notes
- Quarterback Rotation - as expected, with Carson Beck taking the first team reps, Gunner Stockton behind him, with Ryan Puglisi taking the third reps of the group.
- Running back rotation - Trevor Etienne led the group during RB & QB exchange with Roderick Robinson and Andrew Paul following him. It was Cash Jones who led the unit threw individual drills. Etienne, wearing No. 1 looks explosive and appears to be receiving the extra coaching needed to impact this roster as soon as possible.
- O Line Rotation - Earnest Greene, Dylan Fairchild (Micah Morris), Jared Wilson, Tate Ratledge, and Xavier Truss worked with the ones. Jamal Meriweather, Monroe Freeling and Daniel Calhoun appeared to be in the mix as well.
- WR Rotation - Colbie Young is a massive human being and is moving well despite not being 100%. Dillon Bell, RaRa Thomas, and Dom Lovett seem to be the first out during every rep and drill. James Coley was by far the most animated coach at practice today.
- TE Rotation - As expected, Oscar Delp followed closely by Lawson Luckie. It’s become a thin group quickly.
Defense
- D Line Notes - Jordan Hall and Naz Stackhouse appeared to be the first pair of interior defensive linemen with Jah Jarrett and Warren Brinson paired up quickly behind them. Mykel Williams and Joseph Jonah-Ajonye rotated between DL individual periods and EDGE periods.
- EDGE Notes - Chaz Chambliss, Gabe Harris, Sam M’Pemba and Damon Wilson make for an extremely explosive group.
- LB Notes - The two freshmen, Chris Cole and Justin Williams are tremendously large humans. They stuck out ihysically in a really deep linebacker group. Jalon Walker spent indivisible time with the ILBs.
- STAR notes - Joenel Aguero followed by Kyron Jones with Jacorey Thomas learning as well.
- Safety Notes - it doesn’t take long to identify KJ Bolden in this group today. The five star safety stuf out physically and showed the patented balls skills. It’s a group led by Dan Jackson and David Daniel with Malaki Starks limited this spring.
- Corner Notes - Daylen Everette got the first reps and was rotated on the other side with Julian Humphrey and Daniel Harris. It’s still too early for separation here.
