Georgia Football Strength Coach No Longer with Team
One of the more important parts of a football team is the special teams coordinator, and that man was Scott Cochran for the Georgia Bulldogs. Dawgs Daily has been able to confirm that Scott Cochran is no longer with the team due to a personal matter, as first reported by UGAsports.com.
Cochran has been with Kirby Smart for a very long time, but didn’t drawing him in Athens until the 2020 season when he was named the special teams coordinator. Before that his previous coaching student was us the strength and conditioning coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide for 13 seasons.
Cochran has also seen stints in the NBA and another team in the SEC as he was the Charlotte Hornets assistant, strength conditioning coach, and held the same title with the LSU Tigers. He has previously stepped away from the Bulldogs program before to help focus on his mental health as he had become sober from the usage of alcohol.
No official statement has been made by either the university, Cochran, or Kirby Smart But it seems as if the Bulldogs is strengthen conditioning coach and special teams coordinator will not have a future within the program. In his previous stint away from the team Cochran did make his return just a few months after stepping away, keeping his title as the special teams coordinator, but remained in the wight room at an off-the-field capacity.
