BREAKING: Xavier Truss Announces 2024 NFL Draft Decision
The Dawgs have wrapped up their 2023 season, and with that comes some NFL Draft declarations for those who are eligible to be drafted. Georgia Bulldogs' senior offensive lineman, Xavier Truss, has publicly announced his decision for the 2024 NFL Draft. The 6' 7" 320-pound senior from Rhode Island has officially decided that he will be skipping the NFL Draft this year and return for his sixth year in Athens.
Truss was a vital piece for the Dawgs as they worked towards their two straight national championships. Coming to Athens in 2019, he didn't see any true action until his redshirt freshman season. Truss became a starter in the 2022 season and continued to impress in 2023 when he was named to the All-SEC second team. This is big news for the Dawgs as their amount of depth at the tackle position could be slim for the 2024 season.
With players making their intentions known in the coming days and weeks, here is a running update of the roster movements as they happen.
