REPORT: Sanford Stadium to Permit Beer Sales During 2024 Season
This upcoming season, Georgia Bulldog fans may recognize a new menu item available at concession stands inside Sanford Stadium. Beer! According to reports, the University will begin to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages such as seltzers and beer at the beginning of the 2024 season.
The decision likely comes as a massive relief to numerous of-age Bulldog fans, as Georgia was one of the last remaining SEC schools to not allow the beverage to be sold within their football venues. This, of course, did not include the Bulldogs' basketball venue Stegman Coliseum, which had been selling the beverage since the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
The University's decision to allow beer to be sold likely stems from the prospect of added revenue, pressure from the public, as well as the staggering attendance that the Bulldogs have experienced at home games over the past few seasons. Since the 2021 season, the Bulldogs have sold out every single one of their home games.
With the regular season still months away, Bulldog fans now have another reason to grow even more eager for the Bulldogs' 2024 season to begin.
