Georgia head coach Kirby Smart talked to the media on Tuesday and he gave his thoughts and impressions on the first scrimmage for the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia's preseason No. 1 ranked football team is in the midst of spring practice. They have completed 9 of 15 allotted practices are in the books and they have just one more scrimmage before their G-Day intersquad game on April 13th.

Head coach Kirby Smart met with the media on Tuesday afternoon, and

On First Scrimmage:
Yea I thought the first scrimmage was a really good energy level and intensity. It was not a lethargic, ho-hum, the players had good intentions and good energy. We have a lot to work on, really sloppy in terms of substituitions and signals, there's just a lot of new people in the organization, new coaches, new players, there's just a lot of new. It wasn't as clean as some of our first scrimmages.

On D Line
I thought they did a really good job of having energy and enthusiasm. We did not probably play the run as well as I like us to. We've had much more dominant defensive line perfomances than we did on Saturday.

Thoughts on Gunner Stockton:
Gunner has done a good job, I've seen growth in Gunner. I thought he had a couple of mistakes, but he also played with much more consistency. I've seen this progression with Gunner were he's continued to get better, he's getting a feel for our system, he's a really good athlete. He makes mistakes that you can't make at the position, but the good thing is, after the mistake, he can recall what he's seen.

Injury Update on Ryan Puglisi:
Ryan Puglisi is dealing with a bit of a knee injury, it's something he's been bothered with since high school and he's been able to still throw. We expect him back
