Another class of former Bulldogs are making their long-time dreams of playing in the NFL a reality this weekend during the draft, and the most recent to do so is Broderick Jones who has been drafted by the  Pittsburgh Steelers with the 14 overall pick. Jones was the starting left tackle for the Bulldogs for the entire 2022 season.

At the NFL combine, Jones clocked in a 4.97 in the 40-yard event despite weighing in at 311 pounds and being 6-foot-5. The former Bulldog also locked in a 30' vertical jump. Jones is an athletic specimen, and it is not normal for people his size to move the way that he does.

Jones started in all 15 games for Georgia last season and was a first-team All-SEC selection by the Associated Press. He did not concede a single sack during his final year at Georgia and nearly helped the Bulldogs take home the Joe Moore Award, which is annually given to the nation's best college offensive line unit.

Coming out of high school, Jones was rated as a five-star prospect and the second-best offensive tackle in the 2020 class. He was also ranked the 11th best player in the nation by 247 Sports Composite rankings. He would go on to spend the next three seasons at Georgia and earned the starting spot at left tackle during his last season before declaring early for the draft.

He may only have one season's worth of college experience, but Jones proved he is one of the best offensive linemen in the country during that one season. Jones is still a very young football player considerably, which means he is just scratching the surface of the football player that he can become despite how dominant he looked on the field playing against some of the best college football programs in the country. He is a player that is made to play on Sundays and he will be doing it for a long time.
