BREAKING: Demarcus Riddick Flips His Commitment From Georgia

4-star athlete Demarcus Riddick flips his commitment from Georgia to the Auburn Tigers.

Demarcus Riddick, a 4-star prospect from Clanton, Al, announced that he would be flipping his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs to cross-state rival Auburn Tigers.

The 6'2" athlete who will likely play linebacker in college has been trending recently to flip his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs, mainly with rumors of Justin Williams joining the Dawgs. The rumors turned out to be fact, as Williams announced he would join his high school teammate, Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, at Georgia

Riddick has been one of Kirby Smart's longest-standing commits for the 2024 class, committing in November 2022. With a 2024 recruiting class filling up with premiere talent in all phases of the game, Smart and his staff were bound to lose a few commits. Jaylen Heyward was the first commit the Dawgs lost when he de-committed on July 18th. Now, Riddick joins him.

Losing the No. 3 rated linebacker in any recruiting class isn't what you hope for, but there may be some positive in this case. Riddick's scholarship spot is now available for various recruits that Smart and the Dawgs hope to land, such as KJ Bolden, Williams Nwaneri, and Nate Frazier.

Before Riddick flipped his commitment, Georgia had 26 commits in the 2024 class. It is now down to 25.
