WATCH: Jalen Carter Hosts Thanksgiving Event for Kids in Philadelphia

Former Georgia Bulldog and current Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Carter gives back to those in need on Thanksgiving day.

The Georgia football program is in the midst of getting ready for their final regular season game against Georgia Tech, and right after, will officially begin post-season preparation. Leading up to college football rivalry weekend, college football fans spent the week celebrating Thanksgiving with family, friends and loved ones. One former Bulldog, though, took a different approach to the holiday this year.

Current defensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles and former Bulldog Jalen Carter decided to spend his Thanksgiving giving out meals at the local Boys and Girls Club in Philadelphia. It was reported that Carter provided meals for 150 kids at the club.

Carter quickly struck stardom in the NFL like many expected him to and has been making an impact for the Eagles on defense every single week. So far this season, Carter has racked up 19 total tackles, five tackles for loss, four sacks and forced two fumbles. Safe to say, he has certainly lived up to the expectations many had of him leading into this year's NFL draft, and the Eagles will be glad they picked him for both his efforts on the field and off.

NFL organizations are always going to be excited when one of their draft picks performs as well as Carter has during his rookie season, and it feels even better when they put in efforts to give back to the local community where they now reside.
