2024 Defensive Lineman Nnamdi Ogboko Commits to Georgia

2024 defensive lineman Nnamdi Ogboko has announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia has been on a roll with the 2024 recruiting class as they maintain the top spot this cycle, and they are only continuing to get better as the year goes on. 2024 defensive line prospect Nnamdi Ogboko has announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs. 

Ogboko is from Garner, North Carolina, and is rated as a three-star prospect. He did not start playing football until he got into high school and now, here he is, committing to one of the top Universities in the entire country. Ogboko is a big body as he stands at 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds. Defensive line Tray Scott has done tremendous work with Georgia's defensive line over the years, so Ogboko is in great hands there. 

Ogboko's recruitment really blew up this offseason as the power five offers starter to roll in, but Georgia was able to get into the mix early as they offered him back in early April of this year. He also took an official visit to Athens in late June, and that appears to be all Ogboko needed in order to know that Georgia is where he wanted to play college football. 

Georgia pulling defensive line prospects out of the state of North Carolina is nothing new either. Over the past few recruiting cycles, the Bulldogs have gone into the state and reeled in some big-time names. Jordan Davis and Jamaal Jarrett are two of the latest and most prominent examples. Now Ogboko has joined that list. 

It is also worth noting that Ogboko's commitment comes after the fact that Georgia missed out on landing Michai Borieau, a 2024 defensive lineman and a Georgia native, as he committed to the Florida Gators.
