Six Georgia Players Make the Top-100 in College Football

Georgia has six players named on the ESPN Top-100 with some rather noticeable misses by the publication as well.

The University of Georgia has placed 27 football players in the NFL Draft in just the last 24 months. It's been an unprecedented amount of talent that has come through the Georgia football program, and after winning two consecutive national titles, it doesn't appear the talent pool will be any bit diminished entering the 2023 season. The Top-100, College Football edition has dropped, and there are several Bulldogs on the list.

  • Brock Bowers, TE, 2nd
  • Mykel Williams, DL, 10th
  • Jamon Dumas-Johnson, LB, 24th
  • Malaki Starks, S, 40th
  • Smael Mondon, LB, 41st
  • Sedrick Van Pran, C, 42nd

Some notable names that were not on ESPN's list were defensive backs, Javon Bullard and Kamari Lassiter. Both have been meaningful contributors on defense for the Bulldogs for the past couple of seasons and will be crucial to Georgia's defensive success. ESPN's Mark Shlabach also noted that he "wouldn't be surprised if [Starks] among the 10 best players in the country by the season's end." Another defensive back that will play a major role for Georgia on defense this year and is coming off of an immaculate freshman campaign.

Additionally, Amarius Mims is expected, per sources in the building, to be a first round draft pick this upcoming spring. He measured in at 6'8, 330 pounds with an 85" wingspan and rumors are he could run as low as 4.9 at the NFL Combine. He's certainly one of the sport's more impressive athletes.

All in all, having six players within the top 100 for all of college football is still a massive accomplishment. Georgia continues to remain the favorite to win this year's college football national championship for the third year in a row, and the immense amount of talent that they possess is one of the biggest reasons why.
